What are Application Requirements?

Who is Eligible?

A firefighter or EMT needs to be at least 18 years old on the day the written exam gets taken. After the age of 37, the firefighting department won’t hire.

As of the date of the entrance examination, a firefighter/EMT must hold a high school degree or a Public Equivalent Diploma (GED).

A candidate must show evidence that they passed the Physical Ability Test (CPAT) within twelve months.
